7 simple tips to lose weight permanently

Losing weight shouldn’t be a chore. Beyond that, forcing yourself to follow a diet regimen “designed for the masses” is a great way to become a yo-yo dieter. Sure you will lose weight, but you run into a detour or a difficult situation and the diet is canceled.

When that happens, guess what comes back?

Don’t do that to yourself. Instead, seek to live a balanced life with the goal of losing 5 pounds per month. In a year, that would equate to a 60 pound reduction – wow. Sure, it’ll take longer than the shows you see on those late-night infomercials.

But man, think of the lifetime benefits and habits you’ll develop and internalize throughout the year, not to mention your life.

Follow these simple tips and you will reap the benefits:

one. Eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day. – Above all, do not let yourself go hungry. A small meal doesn’t mean knife and fork every time. Between your 3 main meals, have a healthy mini-meal mid-morning and mid-afternoon. How about half a tuna sandwich? In fact, bring your own snacks: homemade trail mix, yogurt (fat free), fruit mix, etc. Don’t open yourself to the urge to go to a fast food joint or the cup noodle vending machine.

two. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables every day. – And eat the real thing. A lot of juices and smoothies claim to equal XXX servings. How nice. For you, stick with the real thing, with real fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Plus, you get the interaction that exists naturally in fruits or vegetables. Eat 5 or 6 a day, that would be a couple of apples, peaches, a handful of grapes, strawberries, broccoli, bell peppers, garlic, onions, see how easy it all adds up.

3. Become a tag reader – This is an absolute must. I check every label for high fructose corn syrup, sodium content, fat content, etc. You need to know what is going on in your body. Education and knowledge is the key here.

Four. Choose healthy carbohydrates – Refined sugar, white flour, high fructose corn syrup; these are the calories that will kill you. Alcohol will kill you. You should stick to complex carbohydrates from brown rice, whole grains, yams, sweet potatoes and, as mentioned before, fruits and vegetables. And do away with all sugary sodas and juices. Orange juice may sound healthy, but the calories will kill you. Drink water and switch to low-fat milk and yogurt while you’re at it.

5. Water – Drink a lot of water. How much do you ask? I’m glad you asked. I say you should drink a glass of water every hour you are awake. That’s easy, right.

6. Have some protein at every meal – About 3 ounces will give you about 20 grams of fat. Protein will satisfy your hunger. In addition, protein is essential for your body to function well. Eat a variety of lean meat, poultry, fish, soy, and nuts. By the way, for fish, stick with deep sea fish like wild salmon. Stay away from farmed fish and shellfish.

7. allow yourself a whim – Look at it, if you lead a balanced life with a healthy diet, your body will forgive you if you stray from time to time. so, you had a root beer; that’s not a big deal. It’s a big deal if that can becomes a 2 and then a 6 and then… Allow yourself an occasional outing, so you never become an untouchable temptation that you’ll eventually eat.

But understand this, these are guidelines that you need to follow day in and day out. But, it is not a straitjacket to be tied into. Try to live and eat a balanced diet.

Combine the diet with a good exercise program that consistently challenges and burns fat, such as a HIIT program. Any exercise program will work, as long as you continually challenge yourself and do it consistently.

Lastly, set your goals correctly. I use the SMART system regardless of the situation. That means my goals are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-based.. Losing 60 pounds in a month may be possible, but is it realistic? Losing 5 pounds in a month can be all of that. And if you lose 5 pounds every month for a year, you get to 60 pounds, great.
