Email Marketing Lesson from Freddie Boodle’s Cave in Tenerife

This will be one of the best email marketing tips I’ll give you.

You see, I think storytelling is one of the most powerful ways to make money out there. It’s a super powerful email marketing strategy.

And it’s not just me who thinks this.

Every great salesperson is a master storyteller.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an email marketer, copywriter, or sales face-to-face or over the phone.

And think about it: how have religions managed to persuade people to become followers for hundreds of years?

Yes, through the narration. Specifically, telling entertaining parables.

but if you are yet I’m not convinced of the power of storytelling, so let me tell you a story.

When I was young (I mean when I was 5 or 6 and still wet the bed – yes, I was a late developer when it came to bladder control…), Dad used to tell me bedtime stories.

And his stories used to be about a made-up character named Freddie Boodle.

However, even though it was so long ago, I still remember them to this day.

They were great.

Freddie lived in a cave and only came out at night.

The stories were quite scary but full of adventure. (That’s probably why I used to get wet!)

Like I say, great stuff.

Dad was quite the storyteller.

Anyway, I remember going to Tenerife around that time. There was a cave by the sea where Dad, Grandpa and I used to go.

And whose cave did I think it was?

Yes, Freddy Boodle’s.

So.

Why have I told you this?

Simply, just for show to you how powerful stories are.

How is that?

Because somehow I still remember a lot about Freddie Boodle.

Pretty crazy right?

And if I can remember all that from so long ago, don’t you think his Will prospects remember your emails better if you tell them stories?

Of course they will.

And more importantly, they will be able to connect emotionally with what you are saying.

Which means they’ll be more likely to buy from you.

Anyway, as I say, here I have not invented the wheel.

This material has been around for thousands of years.

It’s something most salespeople and marketers don’t know how to do.

Although if you can do it in your emails and, more importantly, do it right…

Then YOUR emails will be head and shoulders above any of your competitors.
