How to steam your face to stop acne

Joan; A college student, she has long been admired for her beauty since early childhood. But like everyone, we encounter problems day by day, but now it’s Jane who has to face this new problem… “Acne”! She wisely chose not to opt for medical drugs, because she knew they were full of harmful chemicals that would further ruin her face. So what can she do?

Now this story above could be exactly what happened to you, or at least similar. In such a situation, you will need a clear mind, especially in the early stages. An ancient remedy can be used to stop acne. This treatment is “Face Steaming”. That’s the most harmless thing you can do to your skin to get rid of blackheads. When done correctly and with the proper ingredients, it can surely get rid of acne.

The positive effect of facial steaming never ceases to amaze me. Your skin will feel fresh and look radiant. You can also do this right before an event to “wake up” your skin.

Now there are some precautionary steps you need to take when it comes to steaming. First off, while this pore-opening method is completely safe, you should only do it once or twice a week, so your skin doesn’t get too dehydrated. When the skin dries out, your body reacts in defense of the skin, so it produces even more oil, and that’s the opposite of what you want.

Dust and dirt are also removed by steaming the face, which is also a hygienic benefit. And while you’re steaming, sweat (which contains sodium) will kill acne-causing bacteria. Yes! So you don’t have to worry about a little sweat, it’s actually good for your skin.

People who have asthma may have difficulty with this technique, as it requires you to close your eyes and nose, and the use of the herbs mentioned below. Remember to wash your face before and after with warm water, then finish with cold water, to close the pores when they are clean.

Steam cooking can be customized to suit anyone’s needs. Of course, you can steam your face with just water, but for a better result, you can add special herbs to give your skin that extra “glow”.

Turmeric is a great herb to add to steam because it rejuvenates the skin. Even the use of Holy Basil (Tulsi) and Azardirachta Indica (Neem) can work effectively on pimples and might even prevent them from reappearing. For oily skin, you should probably add mint, thyme, and lavender. And for those who have a more delicate (dry) skin surface, they could add the above ingredients to the following: chamomile, fennel seeds and roses.

Now for those of you who are reading this and are not familiar with facial steaming, I am going to tell you an easy way to do it at home. All you need is a kettle, a pot (preferably the size of your face), a large towel, a timer, and of course… water. To get started (your face should already be washed), set the timer for 10 minutes and boil some water in the kettle. Once it is boiled, for the water in the pot. Then pull the towel over your head, making sure it’s big enough to hang down the sides and front. Then move your face over the steaming pot and start the timer. Try to hold your breath for 30 seconds. And when you go up to take a breath; take as long as you need to be able to hold another breath for 30 seconds. After the 10 minutes are up, cover your face with the towel and wash your face again. And that is!

Facial steaming is a great way to deep clean your pores, and I’m sure you won’t regret including it in your weekly routine.
