You should know that you don’t have to get the technique right right away, just try to focus on the end result. Your goal should be to make your partner feel good and relax them. The first thing you will want to do is use a lubricant. Your hands should slide freely over your partner’s body and will give you the movement you need to give an effective massage. Using a lubricant almost always improves the massage, so choose one that is gentle on the skin. Lubricants help prepare the skin and protect it from the strong rubbing you will do to it.

Now that we’ve established that you need a good lube, let’s talk about what you don’t want to do. Never use Vaseline to massage your partner. It’s just an ineffective lubricant to put on a person’s body. You should strive to use massage oil. Lotions and Vaseline are not easily absorbed by the skin. Using Vaseline can actually damage a person’s skin if you’re not careful, so keep this in mind.

When giving the real massage, to give a good one, you want to massage the muscle, not the bone. You shouldn’t even aim to massage the skin; go for the muscular parts as this is the area where your partner is most tense. For example, you should know that you can practice on yourself. Rub your fingers over the skin of your chest and press harder as you move through your chest muscles. You should feel a significant difference between stroking your chest and massaging it.

You want to go for penetration. You might accidentally tickle someone if you just stroke the skin, and this is something you don’t want either. Your goal should be to bring pleasure to your recipient, not to get them tickled throughout the session.
