digital video disc

Digital Video Disc or Digital Versatile Disc, abbreviated as DVD, is one of the most popular optical disc storage media today. Its immediate predecessor VCD (Video cd) was a decent format for video data. Generally, people prefer DVD to VCD because VCD has less storage capacity (600-700 MB), which limits the number of pixels and decibels a movie can record. A DVD can store data from 1.36 GB to 15.9 GB.

DVD MANUFACTURING SERVICES

It is a physical production of your DVD from zero raw materials. The master content of the DVD is transferred to a smooth glass master by recording the data with a laser. Manufacturing equipment is then used to press the DVD contents into cast polycarbonate plastic, DVD-coated plastic rings.

DVD PRODUCTION

The DVD uses a 650mm wavelength laser to record on the surface of the media. They are such that they allow the laser to write such small data, so that it can accommodate more data.

DVD DUPLICATION

Consider a project that requires less than 1,000 parts or has many different masters; the most profitable method is to duplicate the project. Duplication is the process of recording information onto blank DVDs, often called burning because a laser is used to heat a chemical dye on the disc. Literally, burn marks must be read as data. Using large duplication towers, we can burn many discs at once, which increases speed and accuracy. Disk loading and unloading can be automated using robotic duplication. Full duplication only requires 24 hours.

DVD PRINTING

Printed DVDs provide a completely smooth laminated finish. This includes producing stunning labels, eye-catching text and full-color, photo-realistic images with a dense color field on DVD.

DVD PACKAGING

The packing is generally named in 2 groups.

1. standard packing

2. creative packaging

Standard packaging includes the standard CD case, slim jewel case, clamshell cases, ejector case, DVD case, and plastic wallets that fall under the mailing and storage category.

Creative packaging includes the digipack, printed card wallets, mailer packs, 3-packs, slip cases and more. These are mostly created from cards and can be printed or laminated to glass and even embossed.

DVD vs. CD

DVD mastering is comparable to CD mastering. The only difference is that thanks to the record fixer it is possible to store 7 to 25 times more data on a CD of the same diameter. By recording 2 layers of data, one on top of the other, on each side of the DVD, it is possible to store up to 9.4 GB of information.
