Ecommerce Store Advantages: Create a Unique Selling Point to Attract the Most Business

The overall presentation of your site is key to keeping your visitors browsing your pages. Now there are many more online shopping sites. What makes you decide to shop from one place to another even when they may have the same products for the same price? Does one site look more professional than the other? Does it seem like it’s been around longer? Does it seem like a more trustworthy site? What kind of questions go through your head before making that final decision?

Big-name stores like Walmart, Toys R Us, Macy’s, Big Lots, and others can afford much more wiggle room on certain things than smaller businesses. But does that mean they deserve all the business then?

That’s where creative thinking/marketing comes into play. You need to find something unique to offer. Free shipping is great. If you can’t afford free shipping because you’re working with a drop shipper that doesn’t offer it, can you find a cheap product that people like and want to add for free? Free gift wrap? I have a company I deal with that doesn’t offer free gift wrapping, but it’s cheap, so it’s worth telling your customers it’s free and you pay the small difference. Whether or not it means the difference in sales for just a few dollars, it’s worth it.

In these times when everyone is browsing for gifts online, it can be daunting for the young new merchant trying to make a name for himself. They may feel like they really can’t compete. But Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was any other business. You have to keep persevering. Keep learning and practicing something new in terms of advertising and marketing every day, do not allow yourself to have negative thoughts and simply believe in what you have proposed. Pull out your mission statement.

Reread what you had planned for your 5-year and 10-year terms. Remind yourself that he is still on the right track, and he will stay that way as long as he continues as planned. Something is just a dream without reality if you have not properly prepared for it and visualized it as such. This is not a dream like winning the lottery. This dream is a future that you have planned and prepared to work for a long time no matter what it looks like from one day to the next.

The sad reality is that 95% of online businesses will fail within the first three years. To ensure that you are one of the top 5% that stays in business, you should always be looking for creative ways to help your customers, market to new customers, and stay in touch with those customers who have already bought from you. If your customer has a positive experience with you and enjoys both your customer service and your merchandise, they won’t just come back, they’ll run and tell all their friends and family about it. Work on improving your business every day, even if it’s just one small thing at a time.
