Six ways to improve your company’s IT rental offering

By offering IT hardware rental solutions, presenting financial assistance as a product offers little value. The goal is to link finance with services that will add value to the customer’s IT experience.

Consider the following services that could provide a much more complete experience to a potential customer:

Call table

A centralized call desk ensures a single point of contact, which will then automatically be routed to the closest service center. A task opens for each call registered by a customer. All tickets are checked every hour through an automatic escalation procedure, which is based on the priority of the call. This process can be managed by a call desk system compatible with SMS functionality to keep customers / users informed about the progress made with their call.

Hardware support service

Have a technical expert responsible for each account as a backup for the call desk. This ensures the continuity and immediate availability of technical support whenever more difficult problems are experienced that cannot be resolved by the call center person.

Loan Units

Make equipment available to clients for loan purposes. The client and his company agree on the maximum number of units that will be kept for the client, that is, one loan unit for every ten (10). When a call is logged and the item cannot be repaired within an agreed period, a loaner unit will be made available. Loan units can be preloaded with the required software, ready for use. Drives may also be available in the event of equipment theft, until a new or replacement drive is available. The same applies to late deliveries.

Warranty management

Your company can handle the equipment warranty on the customer’s behalf and use brokers on short notice to transport borrowed and defective units to and from customer and supplier repair centers.

Break Fix

When equipment is out of warranty, you can offer to help customers repair equipment based on time and material. This will occur based on a quote, which the customer must accept before repairs are made.

Short term rentals

If you have good refurbished equipment on hand, such as desktops, laptops, and printers, you can offer it on a temporary basis, thereby generating additional income. Companies make use of this service to help them in critical or temporary situations in which they do not need or want to spend their capital to buy equipment. This service is also suitable for training sessions and company events.
