Delicious Green Bean Fries

What do you need:

  • 1/2 kg. fresh green beans, tips trimmed
  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup hummus
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese on a plate, then place the hummus on a separate plate. Line a greased baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil. With clean fingers, hold one end of a bean and run it through the hummus to coat it, then roll it in the cheese and breadcrumb mixture. Place the coated beans on the baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the green beans.

Bake in a preheated oven (400 degrees) for 15 minutes or until desired doneness is reached. Let cool before serving with your choice of sauce.

Honey Bacon and Roasted Carrots

What do you need:

  • 1 kilogram. carrots, peeled and chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 strips bacon, diced

Combine carrot chunks, honey / maple syrup, and bacon in a large bowl. Stir until the ingredients are well combined and the carrots are covered. Place the mixture on a greased baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for half an hour. When done, check (with a fork) if the desired doneness of the carrots is achieved. Let cool a few minutes before serving. Season with a little cayenne pepper if desired.
