Buckhead Atlanta is truly the Beverly Hills of the South

In the heart of the South, just north of downtown Atlanta, Georgia, you’ll find Beverly Hills of the South, no less than Buckhead. Atlantans will be the first to tell you that Buckhead’s shopping rivals that of Rodeo Drive; homes in the area are as palatial as any you’ll find in the 90210 zip code; and the food is as delicious and refined as the meals you can enjoy in restaurants with celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsey or Giacomino Drago.

Single family homes in Buckhead offer residents immaculately manicured lawns with southern landscaping that includes magnolia trees, dogwoods, and azalea bushes. In addition to the beautiful homes in the area, those seeking high-rise living will not be disappointed. Park Place, Sovereign, Mansion on Peachtree, Realm, The Ritz Carlton and Buckhead Grand are just a few of the more than 50 luxury high-rise condominiums Atlantans call home.

Not only does Buckhead have the trimmings to defy the glitz and glitter of Beverly Hills, but Buckhead is also home to many notable celebrities. Celebrity sightings are quite normal in the area, with Elton John, Kenny Rogers, Jermaine Dupri, Dallas Austin, Nancy Grace, Tyler Perry, and Justin Bieber all calling Buckhead home. Consider that Atlanta is also home to the NFL Falcons, NBA Hawks and NHL Thrashers and you’ll find talented athletes shopping at Phipps Plaza right next door to residents.

Many of Atlanta’s most prominent political figures call Buckhead home, including the Governor of Georgia! The Governor’s Mansion is located in the heart of Buckhead on West Paces Ferry Road and is open for public tours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Foreign presence is not lacking in Buckhead, as consulates from Australia, France, Brazil, Japan and Greece call the area home.

Another advantage of living in this area is the close proximity to the GA-400 and 85 freeways. You can get anywhere in Atlanta by accessing one of these highways. Since traffic is so challenging in Atlanta, it’s important to have a way to get to the places you want to go quickly.

There’s really no denying it: Buckhead is the Beverly Hills of the South, but with a little something extra. Buckhead offers a southern charm that will captivate residents and visitors alike. This area is one of the last to feel the negative effects of a downturned economy and the first to come out of it when it does.
