Chronicles of Madness – Episode 22

In our episode 22 of Madness Chronicles, we’ll take a look at the insanity of our not-so-free speech in America. Remember, insanity is an especially severe state of mental illness, extremely foolish behavior, and a state of frenzied or chaotic activity. Let’s take a look at the evidence of our rapid decline in free speech amid attack from the left.

At Arizona State University, they recently canceled an offer they had made to a candidate for dean of journalism. Its fatal flaw? He had tweeted his support for the police. What what? Moving on to Florida State University, the student government voted overwhelmingly to remove its president. His dirty feat? In a private chat room, he shared his Catholic beliefs on the LGBTQ issue.

UCLA recently removed a professor who disagreed with a student who wanted preferential treatment for being black. The Speaker asked for an explanation of the policy he violated. It is still waiting. At Winthrop University, a professor was censored. A pretty serious matter there. His crime? He used the term ‘Wuhan virus’ in a discussion. Am I in the twilight zone?

The University of Texas has suspended an award-winning professor for sending Tweets that negatively portray Barry Sortero and Kamala Harris in a negative light. How is this possible? An epidemiologist who disagrees with the COVID-19 narrative has been removed from YouTube. Let’s not disagree with the PC police.

Moving on to Snob Hill, Stanford University took issue with an art history professor who was revealing what the NWA really stood for in a rap group’s title. Then he had the nerve to write the lyrics to one of his songs on the board. The students were outraged. The professors’ names disappeared from the Stanford website, but they don’t answer questions. The professor is supposed to be gone.

A professor at the University of Alberta in Canada was recently fired. In his case, his statements were totally unreasonable. He told the class that he believed that biological sex, both male and female, were real. It is difficult to understand this type of thinking and violation of rights.

Here is one that is really special. Recently, a professor at the University of North Texas was fired. And it doesn’t make much sense to anyone in their right mind. It seems the teacher was called in because he called some flyers handed out by the students ‘garbage’. The brochures called the students “microaggressions” in the classroom. They are trash. The head of the teachers (who knew they had bosses) offered him ‘re-education’ and the teacher refused. Good for him.

In the words of the Big Apple, New York Mayor Bill DiBlasio has stated that he is permanently banning First Amendment rights. I guess that’s one way we don’t violate our First Amendment rights. And in Scottsdale, Arizona, we hear from that CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) always fair and impartial. They filed the following this week against Scottsdale Community College seeking an injunction against a professor for course content that has “the primary effect of disapproving of Islam.” What has come of the First Amendment?

May we wake up from this madness before it is too late. I wish you good health and until next time have fun, enjoy life, and watch out for the madness among us.
