Dubai Careers and Job Opportunities in Dubai

The United Arab Emirates (“UAE”) is one of the top overseas employment destinations for people from all over the world due to the high-paying jobs that manifest themselves in the cities’ excellent economy.

Therefore, many believe that getting a job in the United Arab Emirates would actually settle them financially for life. These people are trying to get jobs in the United Arab Emirates and are actively seeking them through various means.

Dubai, one of the wealthiest and fastest growing cities in the United Arab Emirates, is continually developing into an exciting, diverse and multicultural mix of young, vibrant and professional people who enjoy an unrivaled quality of life. This place has also seen the fastest population growth in the world, which means that more and more people who want a better life as a result of better careers move to Dubai every year.

Unemployment is very low and there is a wide range of jobs available in Dubai as many businesses are springing up and existing ones establishing a presence in the region. It is possible to find work in many different market sectors (financial, hospitality, technology, tourism, construction, engineering, IT, medical, etc.). Some of the popular employment agencies in Dubai are Nadia, BAC Middle East, IQ Selection, SOS Recruitment, and Clarendon Parker, all of which mainly specialize in the Dubai and UAE regions.

If you are among the millions who want to settle in Dubai and work there, you should familiarize yourself with the rules. That being said, jobs in Dubai do not come with any hard restrictions if you have sufficient education and qualifications. You must have a residence permit to be able to apply for a work card.

The employment card will allow you to get employment in the UAE, while the residence permit (obtained in the UAE) can legally sponsor you. A person can legally sponsor you if they are related to you. A company that is going to hire you can also sponsor you.

Basically to stay in Dubai you must have a resident visa. You can get this by buying a property in Dubai or by having your employer as your sponsor. The latter is quite common and generally a pretty seamless process. Over 80% of Dubai’s population is made up of immigrants just like you and me.

Let’s talk about requirements. A Dubai visa is the most important. All visitors except GCC citizens require a visa, but free visit visas are issued to most nationalities when they enter Dubai. Some nationalities require a visa, so it is necessary to secure yours before traveling.

If you are visiting Dubai to look for work, you will need a visitor visa to enter the UAE. When finding a job, you can transfer to a residence visa either by re-entering the country or by transferring directly. Your employer/sponsor will know all about this.

The validity of a visit visa is 60 days (most cases). It can be renewed for a further 30 days by paying a fee of Dhs 500 at the Immigration Department (this is approximately $135 USD). Alternatively, a ‘visa exit’ can be done, which involves flying to Doha or Muscat at a cost of about Dhs 300 (about $80 USD) and re-entering Dubai on a new visit visa.

In case you have a job for you, the company must send your visa application to the airport upon arrival, where a residence visa will be stamped in your passport. Find my article on “Dubai Visa” where I detail the Dubai visa requirements.

When you plan to bring your family members to live with you in Dubai, you will need to obtain a family residence visa, which will allow you to sponsor your spouse, children and parents. To have a family residence visa, remember that your salary must exceed Dhs. 4,000 a month. This shouldn’t be a problem if you are in a white collar career field.

This is all great, but wait until you hear about the benefits of a job opportunity in Dubai. Find my article on the “Benefits of a Job in Dubai” or visit http://www.Dubai-Information-Site.com to learn all about careers and job opportunities in Dubai.
