Fantasy Football Picks: My Top Five Quarterback Rankings For Your Own Cheat Sheet

I have posted 32 of my fantasy football picks for quarterbacks. These are the 5 best picks. If you’re new to fantasy football, this is a place to start your own quarterback ranking list. These may change as the year progresses.

1. Drew Brees / Santos

– The MVP of the Super Bowl should have a great year again in 2010. A big key to his success could be the renewal of RB Pierre Thomas. While running back Reggie Bush has shown improvement in the running game, he’s still a far more deadly pass receiver than a running back. Thomas adds the threat of a running game, which can take some of the pressure off Brees at first downs. With Robert Meachem’s appearance at WR alongside TE’s Marques Colston, Devery Henderson and Jeremy Shockey, David Thomas and rookie Jimmy Graham, and a very good offensive line, Brees should once again be among the best fantasy players in his game. position.

two. Aaron Rodgers / Packers– With the team as a whole continually improving, Rodgers has the opportunity to put together another spectacular season. While the offensive line is adequate, it would be scary to see what kind of numbers Rodgers could handle with one of the best offensive lines in football. Jermichael Finley has the potential to become one of the best TEs in the NFL, and the presence of Donald Driver and Greg Jennings in WR makes Rodgers a fantastic force to be reckoned with.

3. Peyton Manning / Colts– Peyton is Peyton, and he showed that his legacy is strong by going back to having an MVP year and taking his team to the Super Bowl. He did it without the great Marvin Harrison and his “replacement” Anthony Gonzalez being injured all season. With WR Austin Collie coming off an excellent rookie season and WR Pierre Garcon improving, there is no reason to think that Manning will not have a stellar season again in 2010. WR Reggie Wayne remains one of the best WRs in the league. . and TE Dallas Clark should be one of the top 3 TEs again, adding further certainty to the fact that Manning will be one of the best fantasy quarterbacks this season.

Four. Philip Rivers / Chargers– Rivers’ success will largely depend on the renewal of WR’s Vincent Jackson and Malcolm Floyd, who remain unsigned for the time being. Not that Floyd has proven to be a great receiver, but he is the best they have alongside the ever-better Vincent Jackson. Jackson proved last year that he could be one of the best WRs in the NFL, but without him, Rivers’ WRs would be Legedu Naanee and Craig Davis or rookie free agent Seyi Ajirotutu. Antonio Gates is still a monster in TE, and rookie Dedrick Epps can get some looks in the second TE, with Darren Sproles and rookie Ryan Matthews also catching some passes outside the backfield, but without Jackson and Floyd Rivers can’t be expected. Do it. Put the numbers you have been. Be on the lookout for this situation, as Rivers may go down if these guys, especially Jackson, decide they won’t re-sign.

5. Tom Brady / Patriots– While Brady may no longer be worthy of a top 3, he is still one of the best fantasy quarterbacks in the league. Randy Moss may not hit exactly 100 percent on every play, but he’s still one of the top 5 WRs in the game. Wes Welker’s injury isn’t as bad as originally thought, and they also added rookie Taylor Price and veteran Torry Holt to their receiving corps, meaning they should be better or at least as good as last year. Running back Kevin Faulk is also a reliable receiver and the combination of ex-Falcon / Titan Alge Crumpler and rookies Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez at TE also means there will be some passes thrown to that position. With one of the top 10 offensive lines in football, there is no reason to believe that Brady will never again be one of the top five quarterbacks in 2010.

So there you have it. In half of my full quarterback fantasy football picks.
