How to Add Social Bookmarks to Your Blog Posts

Those who currently use social bookmarking certainly understand the great benefits it can bring if done correctly. However, social bookmarking is quite a puzzle for beginners. Many new bloggers have heard the term social bookmarking, but aren’t quite sure what it is or what it implies.

Let me start by explaining what social bookmarking is and why it’s important to bookmark all your blog posts. Simply put, social bookmarking will bring more traffic to your blog. As internet marketers, that’s exactly what we’re all looking for. Social bookmarking sites allow us to share our favorite sites with others who may be interested while increasing our backlinks.

Every link you leave has the potential to drive traffic to your blog. As you begin to regularly submit your link to authoritative social bookmarking sites, such as Digg, Twitter, and Stumbleupon, your blog will benefit greatly by quickly climbing the ranks in search engines for your selected keywords.

Now just a quick tutorial on how to easily bookmark your blog posts on social media.

First, what you need to do is find a list of some social bookmarking sites. There are many, just do a Google search or go to SocialMarker.com.

Next, you need to register on each bookmarking site. This process can take up to an hour, but keep in mind that you will only have to go through this process once.

Once you’ve signed up for all the social networks, you can start submitting your first blog post. The easiest way to do this is to type your blog post URL, title, description, and tags in a separate window, preferably in Notepad, Articles Notepad, or Notepad. Any of the above will work.

Once you’ve written the information, go ahead and cascade your notebook and your browser so they’re side by side on your monitor. (If you’re using SocialMarker, you won’t have to use this method.)

Make sure the list of social sites is active and open in your browser, then right-click and open the first ten or so sites in a new tab. If your computer is fast enough, you can go ahead and open all the sites. If not, just open everything your computer allows you to.

When submitting your blog post, all you have to do is click and drag the information.

Close it and move on to the next one once you include all the necessary information.

That’s it! That is all that is related to social bookmarking. A simple little task like this can take an hour a day, but it will greatly increase the amount of traffic you get to your blog.

Be aware, however, that some social sites will penalize you for submitting too many of your own blog posts. Find a few friends or colleagues and take turns sending each other’s posts.

Whatever you do, don’t underestimate the power of social bookmarking. You should aim to submit at least one blog post per day. If you do, it will really make a big difference in the traffic you will see as a result.
