Using the putt preview and other putting tips for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 for Wii

Here are some tips for using putt preview. I didn’t really get the whole concept until I saw some of my friends and how they were getting ready to putt.

For my setup, I would look over the putt, see if it was uphill or downhill, see if the green sloped to the left or to the right or both. I would then position myself with my best guess and hit putt preview. The preview would show me how close I was to the actual path and if the 100% putt would go far or short.

What I didn’t realize was that during my setup, if I set the putt distance to less than 100%, the putt preview would show me the path based on what I had set. Now, as part of my setup, I adjust the distance and angle. This has improved my setup a bit.

Here are some more tips:

Do you count the number of squares in the putt to see your short or long? They are in 5 foot increments. each. After exiting the putt preview, you can adjust the putt distance arrow to add or subtract how many yards you have left short or long and read the percentage. For example, you have the 40 foot one. selected putter and set the arrow to 40 feet. You look at the putt preview and it shows you two squares or 5 feet. length. Exit putt preview and move the putter back 10 feet. at 30 feet. The percentage below the 30-foot mark reads 75%. That is what you are looking for in the power meter. 75% is 3/4 of the way up.

If you have an uphill putt, the selected putter will rarely do the job. Select the next level putter before viewing the putt preview. The same is true for downhill putts. Go back one level before you see the putt preview.

Good luck!
