Walmart Airwick Vs Honeywell – Can They Combustion You?

Many people, upon receiving a copy of the November issue of WalMart Canada’s magazine, are very confused by the announcement that Wal Mart will be adding the new Walmart Air Freshener Collection. They believe it is simply another in a long series of cheap grocery store gimmicks designed to gain market share and boost sales. They don’t understand how Walmart could justify such unnecessary expenses when they are facing challenges in the marketplace. In fact, they also believe they are being shortchanged because the discounts offered by their competitor’s air fresheners are far better than the offerings from Wal-Mart.

The fact of the matter is that Walmart can easily offer its customers air fresheners at a lower price point because it has the leverage of being a mega-retailer with low overheads compared to its competitors. Moreover, the superstore chain already has an extensive assortment of grocery items and household goods to offer and this should not leave anyone wondering as to what else they have in store for their customers. On top of all this, Wal-Mart Canada has been doing well in its home country of the USA. And by adding the new product line, they are extending their reach overseas – a move that could further strengthen their position in the U.S. retail landscape.

So why does Walmart feel the need to add another product to its already overcrowded product lineup? One theory suggests that the discount superstore is looking to position itself as a leader in the home shopping market. Its partnership with the Department of Defense and the federal transportation agency has seen them partnering up with small car manufacturers in an effort to generate sales through military bases and airports. Military spouses who use Walmart air scented oil refills, for example, would likely benefit from having access to the convenient products sold by the superstore.

Another theory on why Walmart is adding the product is perhaps because of growing competition in the air-conditioning and related industry. While the competition between Honeywell and LG was considered to be fierce back in 2021, Wal-Mart quickly turned the tables on LG by launching a new product line of its own in Canada called the “Walk Yourself Cool.” The new products feature similar features as those of Honeywell, but Wal-Mart managed to keep its pricing more affordable since it directly competes with a name brand product. Adding enlivening sticks to its already popular air fresheners and canisters may simply be the tool Walmart needs in its battle to become the number one place to purchase energy drinks.

Another reason why Walmart is adding the enlivening air stick is to bolster its non-energy related merchandise. In addition to its massive selection of energy drinks and batteries, the company has also been rumored to be working on a line of spa and massage chairs. It’s unclear at this time if either of these new endeavors will hit the market during the upcoming holiday season, but adding them to the gift card aisle and the ‘buy one get one free’ section could prove to be an effective move. If nothing else, the addition of these products to the Walmart Airwick and Honeywell products lines could provide additional incentive for customers to spend more on those items. After all, with the upcoming holiday season quickly approaching, wouldn’t it be nice to know you have a reliable, inexpensive way to add a little extra spice to your life?

With all this said, it’s hard to argue with Walmart’s decision to add the enlivening air stick to its expanding product lineup. Energy drinks and spa equipment are always hot sellers. And with gas prices on the rise, it makes sense for companies to do whatever they can to remain competitive. For Walmart, that means including an air conditioning unit in its expanding line of products. And for consumers, it means getting up-to-date information and saving some cash on the household items they’ll use the most. When ascents and Fresheners aren’t quite cutting it, Walmart Airwick and Honeywell should be able to step in and offer something a little better than competing brands that can only offer you a second glance.
