What does it mean to look at Jesus again?

It means recognizing the reality of our invisible God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and the lordship of Jesus Christ. When we look at Jesus in our daily circumstances, our failures, and our victories, we recognize that we depend on Him, that we need Him, and that we want Him to be number one in our lives.

In this article I want to touch on three important points: A) How do we turn our eyes to Jesus? B) What happens to us when we do it? C) What are we seeing?

A) How do we turn our eyes to Jesus in real life? How can we get from this spiritual term and the goosebumps that it brings to every charismatic Christian, to a real application in our daily lives?

We turn our eyes to Jesus as we pray! Praying alone or in fellowship with other Christians will focus our focus on Jesus. As you recognize his lordship in your life, your eyes turn to him. When you discuss your life issues with him, your focus is on Him and you listen to what he has to say to you about certain areas of your life: what to do and what not to do.

We focus on Jesus by having fellowship with other believers. When we meet in small groups and minister to one another, praying and blessing each other, giving testimonies of the things God is doing in our lives, together we focus on Jesus.

We turn our eyes to Jesus through reading and hearing the word. That is what every sermon and every Bible reading should accomplish: making Jesus bigger and bigger in our lives. And that my dear readers is my purpose when writing the different articles: to encourage you to make Jesus number one in your life.

We focus on Jesus when we praise and worship him. Every time I praise and worship the Lord on my own or by listening to good worship music, His presence increases in me. The clouds and darkness disappear in the light of his glory and grace.

B) What happens when you look at Jesus? Who wants to be more like Jesus? I tried? It worked? Work harder on it! Go to church more often! Give more money! Preach in the streets! Do not! Do not! Do not!

Concentrate on Jesus and you will become more and more like him. You are being transferred into his image by the Spirit of God! 2 Corinthians 3:18 says: “But we all, looking to the open face as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed from glory to glory in the same image, as by the Spirit of the Lord.” Many times we find it very difficult to live a godly life. It seems we never made it. But the beauty of being a child of God is that He doesn’t want us to fight.

Here’s the secret to being a truly godly person: Turn your eyes to Jesus! As we do so, the Apostle Peter tells us in 2 Peter 1: 3: “By His divine power, God has given us everything we need to live a godly life. We have received all of this by getting to know Him, the one who called us to himself through his wonderful glory and excellence. ” Spend time with Jesus, focus on Him! By doing that, He Himself will change you from the inside out. That is living life God’s way.

C) What do we see when we put our eyes on Jesus?

We see the author of our faith. Hebrews 12: 3 “… fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith …”

“Author” here means: a leader, one, who takes the first step in a given situation and leads the way.

Many Christians have no sense of direction in their spiritual life. They know a lot about Jesus, but they don’t know Him as the Leader, the one who guides the way. They are governed by their senses, by what they see and what they focus on. But they never learned to lean on him, to look at his face.

Are their decisions emerging in your life? Focus on Jesus. Fill yourself with his word, have communion with Jesus, talk with him and worship him as the way of truth and light, and he will direct your way of life.

With every new step you take on your spiritual journey, Jesus will take the first step to guide you in the right direction. That is his promise.

And then we also see him as the finisher of our faith. Without him pouring out his mercies every day again, you will not reach his presence, to heaven.

It is holding you back so many times, when you are not even acknowledging it. In Judas it says that he is preventing us from falling. So many times we would fall into sin, but he is keeping us from falling.

If you truly focus your life on Jesus, he will take you through everything you face in your life.

Trust Him as the finisher of your faith! He is capable !!!

Many times we tend to complicate the things of God a lot. We are so hard on ourselves. We need to understand that the Lord knows that on our own we are doomed to fail. But if we stay connected with Him and with Him, we produce a lot of fruit. The Bibles call it staying on the vine.

So my encouragement to you is this: trust yourself, Lord Jesus, in every moment of your life. You are not the author and finisher of your faith, He is. And He is walking with you. He is also always one step ahead of you, so you can follow him.

Enjoy your journey through life with Jesus – Keeping your eyes, your focus on Him.
