Who wants to know the truth about weight loss, fat loss, and metabolism?

“Who wants to know the truth about weight loss, fat loss and metabolism?”

-To reach a great height, a person needs to have a great depth… Anonymous.

My hope with any program I design for an individual is extraordinarily basic; it is simply providing the client with the reality and the truth regarding weight loss or, more specifically, fat loss. Exercise and eating right have been both the passion and pursuit of most of what makes up my life. I have no hidden motives or hidden agenda to influence or dissuade my clients or readers. Although my companies; Synergy Fitness Systems, Synergy Global Health Solutions and http://www.kreatefitness.com all have a super premium line of supplements, it’s just because I was fed up with the poor quality and low nutrient factors of what the “MEGA” is. and “MLM” providers were pawning on the consumer, including myself, who chose to invest my own hard-earned money and provide this “super premium” line of products to those who were willing to educate themselves and enlighten themselves on the effectiveness of what they were taking into their bodies. By the way, this was after more than 5 years of research and development, production, and a lifetime of application and education. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again… I’m not a guru and I don’t care to be! Call me pitcher… I’m… For the TRUTH! I will leave my character; my integrity and honesty speak for themselves. I am successful in what I do because of my ethics, values and principles and my deep understanding that what I am doing here is bigger than me, is bigger than my current level of understanding, that what I am doing is right. and it’s the right thing… It’s REAL! So are my programs. Integrity is the cornerstone of my profession. I’m not the first in the wellness, fitness, or preventive health care industries to tell you that magazines are generally considered one of the most trusted sources of exercise, nutrition, and fitness information. But that is not always the case. You can’t believe everything you read… Once again, let me say it again; You can’t believe everything you read! A large portion of magazine publishers own supplement companies, who knew? By strategically placing information about “new supplement advances” in what is actually an advertorial, not an editorial, the ability to buy is greatly more credible. Precisely for this reason, magazines have become the ideal instrument for selling slimming products and nutritional supplements. And so we have witnessed and can now testify to the intelligent birth of the supplement catalog. Amazing, right?

Also, in the game of losing body fat and that is the main goal of not only my clients but weight loss consumers in general, a daily caloric deficit must be achieved. This is a critical component and does not bypass. Simply put, you need to expend more calories on any given day than you consume. There are three ways to create this calorie deficit: 1) the most obvious is to decrease your caloric intake from food and increase the number of calories expended daily through exercise, or you can split them up separately; 2) increasing the number of calories you burn daily through exercise or; 3) by decreasing the amount of calories consumed daily through food. Again, to repeat, the first method is the most obvious and the most effective, although of the two components involved, the calorie expenditure process is superior and is by far the most efficient method. It is also emphatic that you maintain muscle mass, while burning fat, muscle loss is not an option! As absurd as it may be, what you’re really looking to accomplish is… Or more specifically what the goal is… is eating the right foods to maintain bodily integrity and employing exercise as your most important tool for fat loss. Incongruously, the opposite is more often practiced… Little or no exercise accompanied by severe caloric depletion (starvation). This slows down metabolism and inhibits the ability to maintain lean mass. Exercise allows you to establish a caloric deficit and burn fat without slowing down your metabolism. Synergy is defined as an exponential multiplication of effective parts, elements or pieces, by bringing together two (2) or more effective components… The act of combining strength training (intense-resistance-exercise) and cardio-respiratory exercise with proper nutrition, abundant nutrition and proper hydration will result in exponentially multiplied results! SYNERGY, baby!!!

Unfortunately, the most common approach to “fat loss” is flawed and incorrect. Commercialized and I want to include a good number of them; The diets created or endorsed by Dr. This-guy and Dr. That-guy contain the same or similar but masked versions of the same derogatory component… Extremely low caloric intake! This results in instant “weight loss”! Fantastic! Right? Wrong! This is what’s really going on… Lean mass and water loss! Now, if body fat is what you’re trying to lose, why would you want to lose lean mass, which is where ‘efficient’ metabolism comes from in the first place? You do not! It is physiologically impossible to lose fat over an extended period of time by starving yourself.

The human body, which actually works in direct accord with the human mind, is unequivocally too intelligent for this to work. In an attempt to starve fat, you will actually starve muscle. Also, since muscle is where your metabolism emanates from, it is the primary element of your ‘prospective’ efficient metabolism. The truth is, muscle is not only a more efficient fuel source, it is your body’s preferred fuel option, when hunger is invoked.

On a deeper level, the greater injustice that is occurring is that you are slowing your metabolism even further or perhaps starting the process of ‘revoking’ your metabolic rights depending on how many times and how severely you have ‘starved’ someone. your metabolism. That does not mean that there is no hope for you, believe me… There is! But I must underline this point. When your body goes into starvation mode, fat loss will severely slow or even cease as your body tries to conserve energy. This is a fact! But you say conservation is good, right, Kurt? The answer is again wrong! Not in regards to human physiological or metabolic function. I would go so far as to say that the economy as a whole is not a good thing; I mean I would like to think that if I give more, more will come back to me… And if I give, I will receive! Your body or more clearly, your metabolism works under this LAW! Just ask Lance Armstrong, the man with the lowest resting heart rate of any man alive. He is the fittest, most “fuel efficient” man on earth… WHY? Because he has mastered the art of spending! The more he works, the more efficiently his body responds and the better he gets… So, YOU can too! Less is not better! Provide adequate, but abundant and appropriate (nutrition/hydration/sleep), spend… spend… spend (exercise, both aerobic and anaerobic) and do them in unity and agreement with each other.

Until next time…

-For his absolute success, Kurt Lee Hurley
