Why have so many lost faith in the political system of the United States?

For many years, many Americans have had a very low opinion of their public and elected officials, and this seems to have reached a critical point, especially after these last four years, which it seemed to many. , be different from anything that has been seen before in recent memory. It seems that the level of polarization, conspiracy theories, lack of confidence, etc. has become the worst of all! Although, in this last election, he had the largest number of eligible voters, voting, he still represented, only about 65% of the total, who could have voted. This means that while some 155 million voted, another 70 million or so potential voters did not exercise that right. Furthermore, the post-election backlash that we have seen from this President may present a clear and present danger to the American way of life and the perception of free and fair elections. With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, why so many seem to have lost their FAITH, in the political system of the United States.

1. Future; furnish; fruition; factors / factions; Liberty: When citizens question this nation’s commitment to freedom, it bodes ill for our future. We all benefit when public officials bring quality ideas to life and bring them to life, identifying a variety of factors and treating all factions in society fairly and fairly!

two. Attitude; attention; fitness; schedule: Rather than polarizing partisan politics, as always, we are better served and represented when our leaders possess a true, positive, can-do attitude, and are ready, willing, and able to acknowledge and pay. Much attention to all Americans! We must demand, instead of any leader’s personal / political agenda, that those we elect possess a well-developed, relevant and inclusive aptitude!

3. Integrity; ideas; ideals / ideology; matters; involve: Given that political fact-checkers let us know, the current president has lied, at an alarming rate, it should be obvious how important it really is to elect individuals with genuine integrity. We need elected officials, with ideas, rather than rhetoric (and populism), and individuals, with ideals and ideologies, who align, directly, with the American Way! We only get better when citizens are deeply involved and concerned about the issues that make a difference – for the better!

Four. Timely; time tested; confidence: There is no room for procrastination if we want to address important issues, such as public health and well-being, the threats of climate change, and protecting the environment. Only when our leaders proceed consistently, with well-considered and timely action, time-tested knowledge and experience, etc., will they earn our trust!

5. Cicatrization; human; heart head; Health: This year will be remembered for a long time, because of the horrible pandemic, and how the United States suffered more cases and deaths, both in real numbers and in terms of percentages, than the rest of the world. What could be more important than protecting public health? How can true healing occur, without an emphasis on humane treatment, of our entire population? We need to choose people, who are able to use their emotional and logical components, in a balance between the head and the heart, if we wait for it, to bring people together, for the common good!

We need to restore our citizens FAITH in our political system, of government, and to restore, our pride, to be American! Instead of slogans, we need workable solutions, targeted and genuine changes – for the better!
